History |
|
| Lasting impressions Embroidery Company, Inc. was founded in May, 1997 as
a sole proprietorship in Fort Washing, Maryland by Peggy Ekstrom. At that
time the operation was centered around a Tajima TMEX C1201, single head
twelve needle, commercial embroidery machine supported with Pulse Editor II
embroidery software. A Tajima TMCE 601 chenille embroidery machine was
added to the operation in April '98 making us one of the very few companies
in the United States to offer both traditional Swiss embroidery and
chenille embroidery. Gross revenue has more than doubled each year since
commencing operation. Our client bas includes man individuals, small
businesses, small and large corporations, ad specialty companies and
chenille clients in more than 16 states. The company added a TMFXII
C-1504, four head fifteen needle, machine in July '02 in addition to
upgrading the digitizing software to Pulse DG/ML Maestro. The company has been
featured or quoted in both Embroidery Business News and Stitches Magazine,
national trade magazines of the industry. |
|
|
| Three new business lines were
introduced in 2002 starting with chenille digitizing for other chenille producers, chenille
training, and development of stock chenille designs.
In 2003 Lasting Impressions
Embroidery Company was invited to participate in Pulse's redesign
of the chenille digitizing portion of Tajima DG/ML by providing
requirements specifications and performing Alpha and Beta software
testing of the redesigned software prior to general
publication. The company was also retained by Pulse Micro
Systems to create the first ever chenille keyboard fonts for
distribution with it's chenille software option.
